Mandela and My Soapbox

Episode 73 is great! Germar reviews Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom, and discusses the real-world impact and legacy. It's spoiler-free; especially so, considering that it's a well-known true story. But first Germar addresses his distaste for all things southern. People keep asking. It's a tough question to answer. It's hard to say why you hate something that others love, without totally attacking the essence of who they are. "I thought the play was written by a five-year old, for a four-year old." "The food was delicious, if you love salt, sugar, and butter, and lack taste buds." So typically we go with - "oh, it's just not for me." But here, Germar straight snaps on the south.
